DATC holds ribbon cutting ceremony for Placement Services

Thanks to a grant from the Walmart Foundation, Placement Services installed new furniture, computers, a projector for employer presentations, and a Skype interview station. To celebrate the new equipment, DATC held a ribbon cutting ceremony Tuesday, October 11, from 12 to 1pm.

At Tuesday's Ribbon Cutting Ceremony, speakers included Angie Osguthorpe from the Davis Chamber of Commerce and DATC president Michael J. Bouwhuis, who reminded the audience about the importance of partnerships in technical education. Representatives from Walmart, the Davis Chamber of Commerce, the Lakesiders, the DATC Foundation Board, and Davis County Commissioner Jim Smith also attended. Alex Johnson, Public Career Relations Specialist, cut the ribbon.

We would like to thank the Walmart Foundation for their generous gift that helps DATC students achieve their goals.
